SNMDO's Mission

Southern New Mexico has one of the highest rates of diabetes in the world. The mission of the Southern New Mexico Diabetes Outreach is to help provide for the testing, prevention and treatment of diabetes and its complications.
To support this mission, one of the primary efforts is the acquiring of a van to provide mobile services and educational programs. Screening for early diagnosis of people who have diabetes and risk assessment for those who are in the developmental stages of Type 2 diabetes is part of the SNMDO mission. Another focus is to assist people with diabetes to access care, diabetes supplies and medications.

Please become involved and enable the Southern New Mexico Diabetes Outreach to assist those who can be helped by early diagnosis, access to medications and testing supplies, and availability of diabetes education.
