History

The Southern New Mexico Diabetes Outreach (SNMDO) was formed in 1998 by local health professionals and other citizens dedicated to helping prevent and manage diabetes. SNMDO became a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization on March 21, 2001. SNMDO is a contact point for people with diabetes, persons at risk, and health professionals.

 SNMDO brings the benefits of diabetes education classes, support groups for youth and adults, and wellness screenings directly to the people of southern New Mexico.
