The Southern New Mexico Diabetes Alliance invites healthcare professionals, community health workers, educators, and partners to the first-ever regional diabetes summit focused on strengthening diabetes prevention, management, and coordinated care across Southern New Mexico.

This half-day conference will bring together clinical and community leaders for practical, evidence-based learning and connection. Attendees will gain tools, strategies, and resources to better support individuals and families living with diabetes in our region.

Featured Topics Include:

  • Nutrition strategies and emerging trends in diabetes care, including GLP-1 therapies

  • Behavioral health approaches and cognitive behavioral techniques to support self-management

  • Diabetes technology and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)

  • Type 1 diabetes awareness, access, and local support resources

  • Regional collaboration, referral pathways, and community partnerships
